to update my LJ. I have been up on the top floor of my house lately more and more. It is so peaceful, I feel like I can think clearly.... Up here I have my mom's laptop to use which is great. I have my own account on it, and It was really quite nice to "start over" with a cleanish slate.

I get more homework done, I get more work done, more done artistically, especially on paper.

Things are great, I hope things are good with you guys as well!

Well, that's all I have for now.

oh and my keyboard fucking sucks and the left shift (the one I use the most) is broken.

so now I use the caps lock for shift and the right shift (rather irritatingly) to use the
!@#$%^&*()_+~ symbols etc.

fuck I hate this keyboard.

I might take a break from the internet again.

At the very least during the week.

like
monday through thursday unless I have some work to do.

I'm getting overly stressed and I want to get rid of it so that's my reasoning.

Oekaki Contest

mainly for members of my oekaki; but anyone can join really.

Contest is
draw a header in a 200x200 to 400x400 canvas, using this character

Things to know-
-It doesn't have to be shaded, but shading is always nice.
-I'm not looking for spam
-I'm looking for clean lineart, either oekaki lines or photoshop/SAI/OC/insert drawing program here lines
they should look nice and not rushed.

the background should be this color: R: 54 G: 54 B: 54 (yes, exactly, it needs to be the same as the background I have on my oekaki.)
if you are drawing in a program other than oekaki, you can eyedropper it off of this:

New LJ account, woo.

Maybe I'll finally keep it active, who knows.

I had an interesting day today! Other than the regular friday ritual of going to camp and being an assistant counselor; I met a crazy old man... lol.

Ok here goes, I was taking these two girls and a boy on a hike to a waterfall and a junk yard, we got to the waterfall, rested, and went on. Then we got to the junk yard and everything was fine for a while. These girls are very vocal, as much as I was asking them to keep it down they were still loud. We got about halfway down the road when one of them spotted an old guy in a golf cart. She yelled hide, but I told her no its ok, and so I said "Hello" to the man and hes like ">:| YOU KNOW THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHT??????"

"uh....no..sorry"
"GO BACK TO THE TRAIL!!!!!! >:|!!!"
"......k........."
we got to the field and hes like "HOWD YOU GET IN????? FROM THE NEIGHBORS YARD??? YOU KNOW THERS A FENCE ITS JUST FALLING DOWN.... "

"where you the kids from when it was raining?? you were sitting on my car"
"Uh..no..... we don't come out when it's raining. It gets too slippery."
" .....hh. ok.... go back to the trail....don't come back!!!!!"

that's probably out of order but you get the jist of it.

YEAH he followed us till we got too far for him to follow, I was worried he had a gun or something. CREEPY OLD MAN RRG.

There was actually a no tresspassing sign BUT it was on the ..wrong side of the tree..and it was falling off the tree too lol......the fence looked like It hadn't been tended to in ages, so we assuemd it was an abandoned property.

I would not be surprised at all if he called the cops.
He seemed like the type that had nothing better to do. I also got the impression that his family / friends (if he has any left) hate him.

He could have been a lot more pleasent about the whole thing.
